Junior Achievement is a private non-profit organization that educates and inspires young people to succeed in a global economy. JAA empowers young people to own their economic success by teaching financial literacy, workforce readiness, and entrepreneurship with volunteer-led curriculum in classrooms statewide. JAA's hands-on, activity based curriculum aligns with Common Core and Alaska State Learning Standards. Programs are provided to teachers and schools at no cost. JAA serves 12,900 students in 53 Alaskan communities, which include 25 rural Village schools.
