Description

Sitka Place, a permanent supportive housing property for Anchorage's homeless population, opened under RurAL CAP, Inc. management in November of 2014.  Since this transition in management RurAL CAP has invested in numerous upgrades and renovations to maximize residents' safety and quality of living.  Now, RurAL CAP seeks a team of community-minded volunteers to spend the day helping to make this location a shining gem in Anchorage's western Mountain View neighborhood.  Our goal is to complete an array of landscaping and beautification projects around the property so as to provide residents a home whose appearance inspires pride; an inviting home that reflects joy into our community.  Volunteers needed for:

* Trimming tree limbs and hedges

* Replacing garden borders

* Removing obstructive trees

* Planting bushes and shrubbery
