

Who We Are
At Providence Hospice volunteers are an intrigal part of the multidisiplinary team. Our volunteers provide companionship in the patient's home through reading, crafts, wathcing movies together or just visiting. Volunteers also provide office support for the hospice program and assist with speical events such as health fairs, and volunteer trainings.
Requirements:
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old;
- Complete a background check (no cost to volunteer).
- Complete a basic health screening (no cost to volunteer).
- Be avaliable 2-4 hours per week and be accessible by phone or e-mail.
Hopsice will provide 18-hours of training and 12 hours of continuing education each year (we make it fun!)
What We Do
Providence In-Home Services provides a variety of home health options in Anchorage from Elkutna to Girdwood; offering a rankg of skilled care to patients in their homes - from helping low-income first-time moms to caring for families dealing with a life-limiting illness. Surrounded by familiar settings, family and friends, home care is a cost-effective and convenient option for many patients. Programs include: Nurse-Family Partership, Home Health Care, Lifeline PErsonal Emergency Response and Hospice.
