Description

Project Descriptions: (20 max of volunteers)

1. Trail maintenance. This involves the removal of encroaching brush,
invasive weeds, and other debris from various trails in the garden.
Pruned stems are then processed into branches that will be incorporated
into our decorative wattle fence. Wood chips need to be spread on some
of the trails.

2. Spreading compost and fertilizer in planting beds.

3. Maintenance on perimeter fence and fire break, especially focusing on
the removal of woody plants from the vicinity of pedestrian and service
gates.

All of these projects have tangible, visible results, which will be apparent to the thousands of local visitors, tourists, school groups, children, and families that visit the Garden for educational programs, recreation, and respite.
