Airport Master Plan Update Open House/Public Meeting - May 23
The Anchorage Airport is proposing another North/South runway in their new master plan. The new runway would destroy Pt. Woronzof Park, a large section of the Coastal Trail, and would require a massive amount of fill to extend the runway into Cook Inlet.
Our favorite part of the coastal trail could be forced into a tunnel. Show up to the Airport Open House Thursday, May 23, at 5:30pm at Coast International Inn (3450 Aviation Ave.) and tell the airport NO to a new north/south runway that is not needed.
