Who We Are

AARP Foundation brings together industry, government, activists, and volunteers to forge practical approaches and innovative solutions that help people build economic opportunity and social connectedness — fostering resilience, strengthening communities and restoring hope. AARP Foundation serves vulnerable people by creating and advancing effective solutions, like the Tax Aide program, that help them secure the essentials.

What We Do

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation assistance to low-to-moderate-income taxpayers, ensuring they have more income for everyday essentials, such as food and housing, and that they receive applicable tax credits and deductions.

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is available free to taxpayers with low and moderate income. You don’t have to be an AARP member, and there’s no age requirement to get tax help from an IRS-certified volunteer tax preparer. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is provided in cooperation with the IRS.
