Who We Are

Our mission is to strengthen Alaska communities and improve the lives of our clients by providing excellent behavioral health care services. We have been providing services in Anchorage for more than 40 years and added services in Fairbanks in 2013. We also offer therapy services statewide via telehealth.  In June 2020, we changed our name to Alaska Behavioral Health to better reflect the services we provide and the populations we serve.

What We Do

Alaska Behavioral Health is the largest provider of community-based outpatient mental health services in Alaska and is nationally-accredited by the Council on Accreditation and licensed by the State of Alaska to provide behavioral health, rehabilitative and substance use services. Services include individual and group therapy and skill development for children and adults, psycho-education, psychiatric services, case management, structured family therapy, and vocational training. The Alaska Child Trauma Center at AKBH is a national-leader in trauma-informed care and education, as one of the founding members of the National Child Traumatic Stress Network.
