Anchorage Youth Development Coalition (AYDC)

AYDC's provides critically needed resources, training, coaching, networking and public information so that all Anchorage youth are valued, involved, healthy, and thriving members of our community. Our programs and services include, among others: Anchorage Youth Central (http://www.anchorageyouthcentral.org/), monthly Coalition meetings, Que Pasa (https://www.facebook.com/QuePasaAnchorage), an important weekly newsletter (subscribe here: http://app.streamsend.com/public/CAC4/lGw/subscribe); extensive skill-building trainings; Start the Conversation kits; effective consultation and assistance for youth serving organizations; exciting 90% graduation by 2020 projects; and more.

The Anchorage Youth Development Coalition (AYDC) is a dynamic group of more than 50 youth serving organizations and community leaders who are committed to using strength based approaches to help Anchorage youth thrive. We are a uniter of community resources and strategies for employing positive youth development strategies to improve youth education, health and wellness and reduce youth substance abuse. We work closely with United Way of Anchorage, our fiscal agent, on Anchorage United for Youth goals; and with SAMHSA (the Substance Use and Mental Health Services Administration).
