Initiatives help you find the volunteer work you are most interested in by grouping together volunteer needs that affect specific areas of work: Homelessness, Education, Financial Stability and Health. The initiatives can be found on the left side of your dashboard. When you click on an initiative, you will be taken to a page that is full of volunteer needs that are related to that area of work. Also when you look at the details of a need, you can see if it belongs to an initiative by looking for the banner at the top.
With so many organizations with so many different volunteer opportunities, it can be challenging to find what is the right fit for you. This way you are able to find opportunities most closely related to what drives you to volunteer - your reasons for volunteering don't matter.
