Westchester Lagoon Family Skate is a fun, family event that takes place every Saturday during the winter from 1-3pm at Westchester Lagoon. Families and friends come out to skate, play games, warm up at the burn barrels and skate some more!
We are looking for 8 volunteers who would like to dress up in a mascot costume and positively engage the children skating and be enthusiastic. Volunteers are welcome to wear skates if they'd like, but may also wear shoes and ice grippers to walk around the lagoon. We need another 8 volunteers to serve as assistants/escorts for the volunteers in costumes, and a few more volunteers to assist with games.
This is a great opportunity to spend an afternoon outside having fun!
