Initiative:
Initiative Description: The Cradle to Career Anchorage initiative is a public-private partnership that works to ensure that at every stage of development, Anchorage children and youth are safe, healthy, and nurtured by family and community to thrive. By providing resources, connections, and community, we eliminate disparate outcomes for Anchorage families, especially those furthest from opportunity, so that every child may reach their full potential.
Purpose:
The purpose of this volunteer assignment is to support traffic flow and provide superior customer service to all attendees. You will be a key player in creating a welcoming and fun guest experience, while remaining professional and respectful of all event staff, guests, and partner agencies. Physical Demands:
- Requires prolonged standing, walking, some bending, stooping, stretching, navigating parking lots.
- Ability to tolerate climate and environmental conditions (snow, ice).
- Includes event environments, involving contact with the public, which may be stressful at times and may involve dealing with angry, confused or upset people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that parking lot is safe for all participants.
- Keep traffic flow calm and harmonious.
- Direct traffic to parking area to ensure attendees are in the correct designated area.
